About Us

Don and Paula Jamieson have owned and operated Sea to Sky Kayaking School since 1991. They have been dedicated to the science of teaching, nurturing, and producing paddlers for over 20 years. Years of teaching and study has produced the unique "Sea to Sky Roll" and the technique and progressions for paddling "In Balance". Hundreds and hundreds of recreational kayakers, sea kayakers and whitewater boaters have developed through these systems as well as National Slalom and Freestyle boaters. Sea to Sky Kayaking School has become the Western Canadian destination Instructional Center. The success of the School inspired the opening of Squamish Kayak and Adventure Center to include sales and demo of equipment and canoe and kayak eco-tours. In March of 2004 Sea to Sky Kayaking School and Squamish Kayak and Adventure Center relocated to North Vancouver at #3 - 123 Charles Street, North Vancouver. Conveniently located at the mouth of the Seymour River recreational kayakers as well as river enthusiasts will find the access to the ocean appealing.

Our entire School and Center Staff are whitewater boaters trained and ready to assist you: with a tour for your family, a boat rental, with tips for cartwheeling, or with advice on purchasing equipment/gear.
